So,
it's the Wolf Man Vs. Little Red in an all-out brawl!! Who will win the devious
little one or the brutal beast...?
The
preview card of the day is called Climb Razor, which is apparently is a J.
Talbain support card. I am a bit
skeptical since the card abilities and resources remind me of the BB Hood cards
from the first Dark Stalkers set. But
never the less lets take a look at J. Talbain cutting down little red.
Okay
so it's a 5/2 attack- hearing that of course means it is not a staple in every
deck. It has a +2 mid block so that is a
decent block in the current format. Then
it has the resources All, Water, and Good- that is where I got the similarity
of the BB Hood support from set 7. It
is a 4 high for 5 damage reversal- that makes the stats pretty decent. If it didn't check a 2, I could see that in a
lot of various decks. The enhance lets
you put a foundation from your hand to your staging area committed that you could
play normally, If it deals damage and if your opponent has a foundation in their
card pool (even if it is as a block). I
like it for the pure fact that most of the good blocks now are foundations so
using the enhance shouldn't be too much of an issue. Or even Water's infamous
Concealed Swallow Swipe and Agohani Geri.
But since it is a common I think it definitely can be played in some
decks, but maybe not necessarily in top tier decks. But then again, can go to
town dropping down high difficultly foundations on the opponents turn, like
Girardot's Leadership, for example.
Thanks everyone! I
hope you enjoy this preview. More to come from set 9. Be sure to spread the
word. There are only 2 weeks till the release! If you have comments please be
