Humiliation something we are all accustomed too at
some point in our lives. Whether we go back to our high
school/middle school days of coming down the hall wearing something
humiliating, or just acting without thinking. Even sometimes in my
own card store we say stupid things and often you hear the phrase
"burned" or "PWND" as we gamers say now. But this card is
anything but that and another great common to add to the ranks of set
9 and the second set of Dark Stalkers.
So
100 Years of
Humiliation is the
card of preview today, and how fitting it has Demitri lord of the
vampires on it. He actually looks like Morrigan defeated him. But
alright, enough side stories. Let's analyze the card's solid
stats to start. It has standard 2/5 stats and a decent block of +3
Mid. Its ability gives damage reduction depending on your own
momentum, but is actually fair with having a minimum. It isn't so
over the top like Amy's
Assistance and
**Morrigan**.
Not main deck for every deck of course, but for a common it
definitely has its uses and potential. So we have a card that gives
minus X damage to a minimum of 1 where X is your momentum, so we need
to generate a lot of momentum. Now we have 2 resources who I see
potential with this card; the first being earth. Well it's just
another tool for earth to add with Tendon
Strength, Awakening, More Machine then Women, Amy's Assistance,
and Armored Defense
for live gain. Granted you need momentum to use it well, thanks to
Dancing Battle Kabuki,
Earth has a way of using this card. Now the other resource, which I
am sure screams out to everyone, is Chaos. Thanks to Whereabouts
Unknown, our favorite
Yun Seong card from set 5 Blades of Fury. Combining that with
******Cammy******
for the extra damage reduction is quite impressive.
Just
watch out for the hammer (Absurd
Strength) and Mortal
Strike, with
Olcadan's Mentor
being the only out for Chaos at the moment. Combining this with some
of our old school favorites such as Pieces
of Eight and Brethren
of the Coast to
medicate damage to let Chaos survive those rush decks. So the
question is will you be able to humiliate your opponent for 100 years
.....?
Thanks
everyone! I hope you enjoy this preview. More to come from set 9. Be
sure to spread the word. There's only a few weeks till the release.
