Until they finally confirmed that they will be banning Ruler of Southtown, I was considering focusing on this deck as my main competitive deck (even above first turn kill Iori). I've always liked Miser because she can take control to that next degree with the flip of a card from your deck and the simple word "No".

Reluctantly, she will soon be hanging up her sword and I will have to find a new way of making a control deck fun (Maybe I'll rebuild my fun Alba deck... Anything to avoid building "He who Shall not be named" again!).

I was also happy when I found that I was the first (based on looking at forums everywhere) to come up with the combo of Miser with Ruler of Southtown for COMPLETE staging area negation as all control values become the same.

Then of course you need (Akumas) Dark Hadou for those times you don't have a ruler on the field... From there I just went about finding the most annoying cards to negate, stop or destroy other cards my opponent is using.

MISER SAYS "NO!": 65 Cards

Attacks: 15
4x Roundhouse Kick
3x Messatsu-Gorasen
4x Kunai
4x Chain Throw

Assts: 5
3x Boxing Ring
2x Legendary Blade

Actions: 6
4x Absurd Strength
2x Power if the Edge

Foundations: 39
4x Ruler of Southtown
4x (Akumas) Dark Hadou
4x Lost Memories
4x Peices of Eight
4x Bretherin of the Coast
4x Way of the Mightiest
4x Megalomania
4x Constant Training
3x Shinobi Tardition
2x Higher Calibur
2x Won't Settle for Second Best

She's fun to use (Though like all control decks, can get a bit boring at times). Thanks to Lost Memories and the Megalomania, Roundhouse Kick combo; she doesn''t worry about "The Curse Broken" (One of few cards that can get round her).

Bearing in mind this was made when Fortune and Glory had just come out, Drew's Miser was a deck which changed our meta in a big way.
I first heard of the deck when I found out it had defeated the NPE K' deck in our area. Shortly after I was at the receiving end of beating by Miser.
Considering Miser was also a possible NPE being a control deck, we soon came to love good ol' Miser and her ability to say "Miser says no." It's sad to see block rotation and banning of "Protractor" of Southtown will end her ways... but she may return - no, she WILL return!
