Since his loss to Atta it seems like Mr. CC can't beat anyone. Even using decks he's found posted online he keeps finding ways to screw things up. Things reach boiling point when he's forced to defeat his own net decked Ryu's Ashura Senku deck with someone else's random Seong Mi-Na deck or lose a friend forever. Will he get his mojo back in time to defeat himself? With his former deck's game winning burn combo already set up will he even live long enough to try?
-Last time- Atta faced Mr. CC's lizard man deck with *Setsuka* shaken but not ready to give up just yet. Mr. CC led off by playing a Glass Slippers. Atta blocked the Glass Slippers with Winter Funeral, hitting his check. He then proceeded to reverse with Stone Wall Thrust using Ugetsu’s R so that he needed a 5 and he checked a 5. Mr. CC activated Awakening so Atta discarded a character card reducing his thrust to 2 damage. Mr. CC then blocked to negate the rest of the damage which Atta responds to using Setsuka’s R, committing Underhanded to grab Dash Upper Cut from his discard pile. Mr. CC continues his turn playing another Glass Slippers. Atta blocked this Glass Slipper with Dash Upper Cut, which using Ugetsu again he was able to hit a 5 and pass the block. He then responded with Dash Uppercut’s R to deal 2 damage to Mr. CC, then responded to the fact his attack did less than its printed damage of 6 by playing 2 Virtue of The Small. He needed a 7 and an 8 to hit them, first one he hit a 5 and committed 2 Victorious, second he hit a 5 and committed Tenpu, Lightning Reflexes, and Setsuka herself. Each Virtue of The Small Burned Mr. CC for 6 damage, along with Dash’s effect dealing 18 damage total defeating Mr. CC in dramatic fashion. For the first time ever Mr. CC's prophecy of victory had been broken. Congrats go to: Silver Blade Ian Shinblankap Silvril StormWind Sorry it took so long to give you guy’s credit for figuring this one out. It was a little tricky so extra congrats to you all. -Story- The store had been in quite an uproar lately, for a pair of reasons. The first was that a big state wide tournament was rapidly approaching. Prizes aside there was a lot of pride on the line, anyone can say they do good at their local store but it was big tournaments like these that truly separated the champs from the chumps. With the store’s name on the line everyone was fervently tweaking decks and training extra hard in anticipation, but the eyes were particularly on the stores top 3 players: Clover, Atta, and Mr. CC. This brings us to the other reason of commotion, since losing to Atta Mr. CC had not won a single tournament. The once unbeatable warrior, the card playing genius who always found a way to win no matter how bad the odds, now seemed all to mortal. His once elaborate and brilliant plans were now foolish and unnecessarily elaborate, often causing him to lose games he should have won. Typically known for piloting obscure characters to victory he’d now taken to trying top characters, but even with them he just couldn’t seem to succeed. At first there were some players who were happy to see Mr. CC finally losing games, but as the big tournament neared and Mr. CC did not regain his mojo it was clear even the most jaded players were beginning to worry that he wouldn’t get things turned around. None took it worse than Atta who seemed to blame himself for causing Mr. CCs slump. It was most likely because of this fact that he made the wager that day. Atta was playing Mr. CC in the days tournament running a simple Order based Seung Mi-na deck against Mr. CCs Ryu’s Ashura Senku deck, yet another deck he’d ouilt from a deck list off the internet. After winning the first game handily, a bad opening hand and some bad early checks had left him seemingly without hope of surviving for another turn in game two. It was then that he announced that if Seong Mi-na did not find a way to win this game he was going to quit UFS forever. Mr. CC who was in the middle of trying to concoct another hair brained combo that would most likely have caused him to lose the game despite it already being well in hand was shocked back to reality. After some arguing about it Atta convinced Mr. CC he would not change his mind. As a compromise Atta proposed that Mr. CC take over use of his Seung Mi-NaSeong Mi-na versus his own deck, already on the verge of defeat. He took a few moments looking over Atta’s cards knowing that this was a game he truly could not lose… and then he saw it, a way to live, a way to win, the game was his. The smile that had been missing for so long returned to Mr. CCs face, for the first time since his loss to Atta he announced his assured victory before even a single move was made or card drawn. Despite Atta pulling no punches with Mr. CCs Ryu’s Ashura Senku deck for the first time in months Mr. CC pulled victory out of nowhere checking every 6 he needed when he needed it. It was as if a weight was lifted off his shoulders and immediately everyone could tell, Mr. CC was back. deck, if anyone could find a way it was him after all. And so it was that Mr. CC piloted Attas How did Mr. CC regain his mojo, below is the state of the game when Mr. CC took over. Remember that because Mr. CC was just playing with his opponents deck a second ago he knows all cards in both player’s hands. He also knows this his deck does not contain any low blocks, Backflips, or any other action based damage reduction. The turn is currently his opponents so he must both find a way to survive this turn, but as he already declared his guaranteed victory not knowing what he will draw next turn he must be able to defeat his opponent using only cards currently available to him. Mr. CC’s Character: ** Seong Mi-na ** Vitality: 27 Hand: 1 character block, 1 Won't Settle for Second Best Momentum: 2 (Mi-na Frankensteiner and Heavy Willow Divide) Field: Commited: 1 fortune teller, 1 ring veteran, 2 mystic, 1 rat chaser Discard Pile: 2 character blocks, 2 Megalomania, 1 ESP, 1 Mi-na Frankensteiner, 1 Psycho Sword, 1 Fortune Teller, 2 Dragonfly. Removed from Game: 1 Spinning Phantom Combo, 1 Meteor Throw, 2 character block, 2 ESP Opp Character: 6*Ryu Vitality: 20 Momentum: None Hand: 1 Ryu’s Ashura Senku, 1 Manji ninjutsu, 2 Full Power, 2 Merciless Field: Foundations: 1 Lost Memory, 2 Vast resources, 2 Rat Chasers, 2 Unorthodox style Assets: 4 Red Gi Discard Pile: 3 Ryu’s Ashura Senku, 4 to Stand a Chance, 2 Evil Shunned, 2 Unorthodox Style, 3 Awakenings, 4 Hesitation, 2 Merciless, 1 Manji Ninjitsu Goal: Survive 1 more turn and finish opponent Atta will be trying to finish you this turn, that means he will lead with Manji ninjitsu, will get out as many Ryu’s Ashura Senku as he can (playing from discard pile first, then hand), and will then use vast resources as many times he can while still being able to hit ...to stand a chance (committing Ryu and every foundation left to hit it). If he has only 1 to stand a chance left he will play it before doing any more vast resources. Even though it might have been wise Atta does not use any of his rat chasers for anything but passing checks or paying for vast resources. His deck does not run character blocks and all his mericless are either in the discard pile or in his hand so assume he hits 5s for all his checks and will not draw better then +1 mid blocks and +0 high blocks. As this is Mr. CC you can assume 6s for all of Mr. CCs checks. Atta will finish off his turn by hesitating assuming at least 1 still exists. It is assumed he has no other card drawing actions or attacks he can draw. Special Notes: Seong Mi-na’s remove effect activates in response to cards or abilities, meaning it resolves before whatever it’s activated as a response to resolves. This means it activates before you draw with vast resources which means you must already have a card in hand to respond to vast resources.
