Split cards are cards that will be seeing a lot of action on the
tournament scene. The ability to support the player as a foundation, or
become an attack when that last bit of firepower is needed makes them
incredibly versatile cards.
Twelve
receives a few split cards with his release, and they are probably some
of the best split cards to be released merely for the fact that they
synergize so well with another copy of themselves.
Clones
is an incredibly solid foundation stats wise. 2/5 is nothing to scoff
at. Though the lack of a block and an incredibly conditional Enhance
effect will often restrict it to the role of filler.
Unless,
you now, you use the OTHER half of the card! Once you flip it around,
Clones becomes a 3 difficulty attack with a control check of 5! THAT IS
INSANE! Not only is it a cheap attack, it packs quite a wallop at 5
damage. This is somewhat counterbalanced by the easily blocked 3 speed
mid zone. The effect is somewhat interesting, and is best when used in
conjunction with resource requirement cards such as Troubled Orphan or
Shiranui Ninja Arts to add the resource symbol that you need to abuse
their effects to the fullest.
The fun
part (and here's the synergy!) is that when you have a Clones in play
as a foundation, and play another one as an attack it gets +1 damage!
Talk about doing all the work yourself!
Split cards, a new force to be reckoned with or just another novelty? That's for the players to decide!

The card is alright. Personally, I don't think its that special. Artwork is kinda blah... especially with the name... doesn't go together.
