twelve_1_smallThis genetic warrior is not one to be trifled with. With the initial let down of his promo, is anybody willing to give the shape shifter an extra chance?

.Twelve., stats wise, appears to be very bland. 7 handsize with 20 vitality seems to be the norm for 7 handsize characters these days, and his three resource symbols provide him with a variety of ways to build a deck. Earth has throws, Life has damage reduction, and Water has reversals. Do his abilities make him worthwhile?

The short answer is, heck yeah!

His first ability doesn't look like much, but as a React that gives any reversal an extra point of damage, it increases the inherent threat factor of the reversal played. If you have 2 Secret Art of the Ling-Sheung Shu Style out then even the most puny of reversals becomes a looming threat that the opponent will have to pitch a vital card from his hand to try to block. Please keep in mind that both .Twelve. and Secret Art of the Ling-Sheung Shu Style just say "reversal" not "played as a reversal", so that Glass Slippers on your turn just got REALLY nasty.

His second ability is probably what is going to cause him to see a lot of play. Once per turn, you get to mimic an ability printed on the opponents card! Got some spare foundations and facing a .Dhalsim. deck? There goes his hand! Ultra Rare Sagat got you down? Pitch your hand and pray for a fresh start!

He is everybody and nobody in the blink of an eye. Expect him to be using your own abilities against you in tournament play soon!

Twelve and all his cards in this new set are pretty cool, turning your opponent's card against them. Infact some of his foundations and attacks are almost borderline too good. This particular character card is some where in the middle. The stats are alright but nothing to get excited over, the first effect is basically a watered down version of promo Adons, if your running reverals and damage buffs it could be nifty but nothing spectacular. His real point of interest is using your opponents effects. You can only do it once per turn but as I understand it you can use it during both your turn and your opponents. There are lots of nifty abilities you can steal, the issue is that you quite simply don't know what your going to be able to steal. Generically useful one time abilities will work out great, but characters with more theme specifi abilities or abilities meant to be used repeatedly may prove troublesome. And while twelve has other abilities to steal there theme as well, you'll always just be a copy to their real thing. Overal I think twelve will be one heck of a fun character to play, and I think he does have some serious potential, but I fear he may be a bit too inconsistant to be a top contender, time will tell.

Thank god this Twelve is WAY better than the promo. His stats are pretty average, as are his symbols, but his effects are the silver lining. Reversal getting a boost, just because he says they can. His second ability, allows him to be a threat to any deck (Including Void)The only question I have is, do you have to pay the cost as well? This card does Twelve's game character justice. Your going to see a lot of people use him as a block in the deck, and then switch him out so they can take advantage of your characters ability. TWELVE IS THE MAN!!!!

In fact, I got a **Twelve** Starter at my pre-release, and managed to pull one of these babys. Unfortunately for me, we didn't really understand his ability until the latter stages of the pre-release, by which I had lost plenty of games via a low vitaity and hardly any blocks in the starter.

Looking at *Twelve* now, he seems a very worthy rival for any deck. Using Impetuous? *Twelve* can destroy it when you use it! Using Battle Disc System? It just got a lot harder to hurt *Twelve*. You can see where this goes from here...
