Ahh, it feels good to return home after a long journey. We are now in the calm before the storm that promises to be season 3 of the AoPs. There’s also the GCC to consider… It’s enough to make your head spin. Still, what does one do when there’s nothing to do, but read articles about what other people are doing? Got any friends? Because if you do, I’ll show you a way to get them all scheming to take each other out… Trust me, it’s fun!

Hello again, everyone! The announcement of the AoP Round 3 has left me in really high spirits. I have two major events to look forward to in January, and if you haven't heard, Florida has been put on the UFS map in a big way with the South Coast Championship, an event I hope will bring players out of their usual event ranges down to compete. In anticipation and celebration, I've created this little article about preparation, a how to, about when to, if you will, based on various situations you'll encounter on the road to your next major tournament, including some that will pop up once you're already there. Hit the lights, queue the music, we're going in.

After much delay, I bring you a "mega write-up," if you will, of the AoP in Cape Coral. The event featured many prominent UFS personalities, as well as members of my own playgroup, many of whom, although lesser-known, are just as talented, as you will no doubt notice as you read. Sadly, I was unable to attend, and therefore, there is no write up of my own. What follows, however, are the accounts of several of Florida's very best. There are lessons to be learned from their experiences, both in deck design and play decisions. I hope you all enjoy this article very much.

seal_of_cessationWith the AoP season in full swing, a wide variety of information is available for us to consume and put to use. This is a compendium of all the information from rounds 1 and 2 of the Assets of Power. Round 2 features the widespread use of the Seal of Cessation, something Round 1 didn't have. Also set 7 is now legal. How does it affect the environment? Have a look. Get your thinking caps on, I promise this will get deep.

The prerelease has come and gone; we are now left with the task of sorting the playables from the chaff, in order to update our decks, or simply know what to watch for in your opponent's decks. This list is probably not comprehensive, but it's a start. These are my favorite Darkstalkers cards, based on power level, and usefulness in the current metagame. I'm not even trying to build new decks, just to make that clear. With that said, let's jump in!
