Mr.CCSince his loss to Atta it seems like Mr. CC can't beat anyone.  Even using decks he's found posted online he keeps finding ways to screw things up.  Things reach boiling point when he's forced to defeat his own net decked Ryu's Ashura Senku deck with someone else's random Seong Mi-Na deck or lose a friend forever.  Will he get his mojo back in time to defeat himself?  With his former deck's game winning burn combo already set up will he even live long enough to try?

hugoYou know, sometimes plans change. This week I was all set to write a nice, informative piece on some of the critical cards in the UFS world, strategies against them, and some basic metagame mainstays (discard, cc hax, etc.) that you should prepare for with regard to the Assets of Power events. Seems useful, right? Perhaps it will still come. But as the first AoP reports (click here) started to trickle in, and as I read a few comments on those threads and some others, one character in particular caught my eye, and consequently my ire. He's a subject I've long avoided discussing, but since Set 6 has been released, he's becoming more and more popular and successful and therefore I can refrain from speaking no longer. Who do I speak of, you ask?

Hugo, of course. *Cue dramatic music*...

four_leafWelcome back everyone. Today I want to talk about something many of us think we are familiar with: the concept of luck; particularly how luck applies to UFS. Many believe that UFS has a higher percentage of luck involved that many, if not all other CCGs because of the nature of control checks. Some believe UFS is almost 100% luck, arguing that the coin flip, and thus the first turn is decisive, and nothing can really be done about it. Luck is extremely prevalent in the card board world, but hopefully as we progress, I'll be able to show you it's not really as bad as it seems.
