I liken this to a mini-horns. While you don't get the F ability, Jaguar Kick might be something to help along wind based multiple decks.

This card seems like they really wanted to get the whole character only thing right, but just dropped the ball. A 3/5 blank foundation will not be played. So that means you should only play this card if you are Taki (-2 pts). The effect is good. Doesn't commit to use it, and while the life gain is miniscule, can turn the game around after a couple uses.

I think when combined with starter Taki, this card could potentially earn it's way into a deck. The only downside is that it is a three cost and should have been 0, just to give a reason for other characters to play it. Why not just put Taki Only on it, because Taki is the only character who will use this.

(Does this mean we may get a character who can play any Character R's E's F's regardless of who they actually are? I hope so.)

I guess you could use this card for just it's 6 check. Usually the ability hits for

While fine for reducing attacks' difficulty, seems very limited usage capabilities. I could only see life using this card as their attacks are gigantic. Other than that, this deck does not even get considered for wind or water as there are way better foundations to run over it.

The symbols are worthless for a reversal deck. Even then, this card is only good in a deck based around Reversals or a Mitsurugi deck. Not too broad of usage. The usefulness should be rated across all deck types that have access to All Earth Fire, not just Mitsurugi and reversal decks. Even in Mitsurugi there are cards more worthy than this.

At 3/4, you should expect something more.

obv I like the artwork. I also like that all her attacks are going to get at least a +1 speed boost.

Nagese's abilities on this card are just underpowered. If the E didn't involve committing it might be nice, but it's realistically nothing more than an additional 1-2 damage reduction.

However, the damage reduction isn't restricted to a minimum of 1 or whatever most other reduction effects have had in the past.

I like that the character only attacks are getting better. The R is decent with the starter? Hoahmaru for a lot more damage. Run this with Strength of the Mountain to guarentee that damage gets through.

I don't think this card will be too earth shattering. I like the token thing that is going on. I hope there are more cards that reference tokens or counters so that whole mechanic/gimmick doesn't just fall by the wayside.

This attack is fairly average. It boosts your next attack, but a lot of people frown on the 2 checks anymore. If you can get a character with 5 or more counters then this card can be good.

Uncertain about life gain, Thursday, 09 November 2006

I'm still uncertain about how powerful/prevalant life gain is going to be. With momentum as a cost it detracts from this cards effectiveness. How anyone gives this a 5 is beyond me. Very situational at best.

Btw, is it just me, or are people rating these cards just defaulting to 5's. Most of these cards that get 5-5-5 are actually 3.5 average or less. Just an observation.
